This reflective essay examines my graduate work through the lens of the five Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) standards: Content Knowledge, Content Pedagogy, Learning Environments, Professional Knowledge and Skills, and Research. Drawing from both my academic coursework and professional practice, this reflection highlights my scholarly and professional work in online learning, micro-credentials, gamification, learner support, and workforce development. It demonstrates how the five AECT standards have shaped my growth as an educational technology professional. This essay serves as both a synthesis of my graduate learning and a reflection of my professional philosophy: educational technology should create systems that empower learners to understand where they are, where they can go next, and every opportunity available to them along the way.
